Baseball caps

Five or six panels in cotton twill, brushed cotton or polyester, with a curved visor and an adjustable strap. A structured cap has stiff buckram behind the front panels so a logo stands upright; an unstructured cap sits lower and suits a washed look.

Knitted beanies

Acrylic, wool-blend or cotton knits, cuffed or slouch, some fleece lined. Acrylic costs less and holds bright colours but pills more; wool needs a shrink-resist finish for machine washing. Give the gauge, weight per piece in grams, a pilling grade and the logo method.

Bucket hats

A soft crown with an all-round sloping brim, in cotton twill, canvas, denim or nylon, often reversible. Rows of stitching or a fused interlining stiffen the brim: state which, with the brim width in centimetres, and approve washed finishes on the sample.

Sun hats

Wide-brim hats in cotton, linen, nylon or paper straw, often with a neck flap or wired brim. Brim width sets the shade and the carton size, so fix it at sampling; a sun protection claim needs a UPF test on the actual fabric.

Headbands

Terry or wicking sweatbands, stretch fashion bands and knitted ear warmers. State width, relaxed and stretched circumference and elastane content, and ask for a stretch check after washing. Packing and header cards can be a large share of the price.

Snapback caps

A structured cap with a high front, a flat visor and an adjustable plastic snap. One size fits most adults, so minimums per colour stay lower than for fitted caps. Check that the snap holds after repeated use.

What to send a cap and hat manufacturer in Bangladesh

Construction and profile
Panel count, structured or unstructured front, crown height, visor shape and closure: buckle strap, plastic snap, hook and loop or fitted. A marked-up photo of a cap you like settles most questions.
Head size
Circumference in centimetres. Adjustable adult caps usually cover about 56 to 60 cm; fitted caps need a size run per colour, and kids' caps need their own pattern.
Fabric, colour and inside finish
Fibre, weave and GSM, with a colour reference for crown, visor underside, button, eyelets and stitching, plus the sweatband, seam tape and labels for brand, size, care and fibre content.
Logo method, size and position
Flat or raised 3D embroidery, woven or rubber patch, print or heat transfer, with logo size in millimetres. Send vector artwork: embroidery is priced by stitch count.
Visor insert and metal parts
Plastic visor inserts survive washing; board goes soft. State the metal and plating of buckles, eyelets and snaps, and ask for salt spray hours to ISO 9227, since damp storage rusts weak plating.
Quantity split and packing
Pieces per design and colour, since minimums apply per colour. Caps crush in weak cartons and ship by volume: ask for nested stacks, a crown insert and a set number per carton.

Tests and rules for caps and hats

AS/NZS 4399 and EN 13758-1 (UPF)
Lab tests that give a fabric's UPF; AS/NZS 4399 rates up to UPF 50+. Print a UPF on the label only when a report on your actual fabric and colour supports it.
EN 1811 nickel release
For metal buckles, eyelets and snaps sold in the EU: REACH limits nickel release from parts in prolonged skin contact to 0.5 µg/cm² per week. Ask for the report on the plated part.
CPSIA for children's caps
US children's products need lead tests at a CPSC-accepted lab on prints, coatings and metal parts (100 ppm in the material, 90 ppm in paint), a Children's Product Certificate and a tracking label.
ISO 105-E04 and ISO 12945-1
Colour fastness to perspiration for dark sweatbands and headbands, since sweat bleeds dark dyes, and the pilling box test for knitted beanies, graded 1 to 5 where 5 means no pilling.

What moves the price of a cap order

  • Decoration: stitch count, raised 3D embroidery, patches and each extra logo position; digitising is a one-time charge.
  • Fabric and structure: brushed cotton, wool blends, performance fabrics and stiffened fronts cost more than plain twill.
  • Hardware and inside branding: metal buckles, custom snaps, printed sweatbands and woven labels, each a separate line.
  • Quantity per colour and logo: small splits spread embroidery set-up and fabric minimums over fewer caps.
  • Packing and freight: crown inserts, poly bags and hangtags add cost, and caps ship by volume, not weight.

Lead times and delivery

Typical ranges: a first sample with your logo takes one to two weeks once the artwork is digitised and the fabric is in stock. Bulk usually runs 30 to 60 days from sample approval: shorter on stock fabric with embroidery only, longer with custom-dyed fabric, woven patches or many colourways. Eid holidays add time. Inside Bangladesh we deliver to your office, branches or event venue in Dhaka, Chattogram, Gazipur or any other city, packed by design and colour with crown supports, with the packing list, the inspection report and a VAT invoice (Mushak 6.3). Buying caps and hats for export

For importers we quote FOB Chattogram (Chittagong) by sea, or FCA Dhaka for air freight from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, since FOB is a sea term. Caps are light but bulky, so the quote states pieces per carton and cartons per container. Documents: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, origin paperwork (a REX statement for EU GSP, UK DCTS), test reports and the final inspection report. Payment: commonly a letter of credit, or a deposit with the balance against documents.

Questions buyers ask

Structured or unstructured: which cap should I choose?

Structured when the front logo must stay upright and sharp, for promotions and retail: the buckram behind the front panels holds it flat. Unstructured for a softer, lower fit and washed looks: the front folds, so a large raised logo can pucker. If unsure, sample one of each with your logo.

What is the minimum order for custom caps with our logo?

It depends on the fabric and the logo. With stock fabric and one embroidered logo, factories often accept a few hundred pieces per colour; custom-dyed fabric, a new woven patch or custom hardware usually needs more. Embroidering your logo on blank caps is the smallest route; the quote states the minimum.

How is cap embroidery priced?

By stitch count per position, plus a one-time digitising charge. Raised 3D embroidery is stitched over foam and costs more than flat work; each extra position adds a line. Approve the logo on a stitched sample, not on screen, since thin lines and small text blur in thread.

Do sun hats need a UPF test?

Only if you print a UPF or make a sun protection claim. Then an accredited lab tests the hat fabric to AS/NZS 4399 or EN 13758-1 and the rating goes on the label with that report. Tightly woven, darker fabrics usually rate higher than open straw.

Can you supply branded caps for an event or company in Bangladesh?
