Liquid filling machines

Piston fillers for thick products such as sauces and creams; gravity or overflow fillers for thin liquids such as water and juice; flowmeter fillers for chemicals. Give viscosity, foaming, fill range and container, and say if you fill hot.

Powder filling machines

Auger fillers dose fine powders such as milk powder, spices and flour; cup fillers suit free-flowing granules such as sugar and lentils; multihead weighers suit snacks. Humid air makes powders bridge, so ask for an agitated hopper.

Sealing machines

Band sealers close pouches continuously, impulse sealers suit low volumes, cup sealers close tubs, and induction sealers bond a foil liner from the cap onto the bottle mouth. State the film or laminate and test seal strength at line speed.

Shrink wrappers

An L-sealer wraps the product in film and a heat tunnel shrinks it tight; sleeve wrappers bundle bottles and cans. Bundles usually use polyethylene film, retail packs clearer polyolefin. The tunnel draws heavy current; check your generator size.

Carton sealers

Machines that tape carton flaps, usually 48 or 72 mm wide; some fold the flaps too. Uniform sealers are set for one size, random sealers adjust to mixed sizes. Give the smallest and largest cartons and cartons per minute.

Labelling machines

Wrap-around labellers for round bottles, front and back for flat ones, and shrink sleeve applicators that cover the whole container. Give container shape, label size, roll core and winding direction, and add a coder for batch and expiry dates.

What to tell a packaging machine supplier in Bangladesh

Product and behaviour: Liquid viscosity, foaming and fill temperature, or powder density, particle size and flow. Send samples: the seller should test with your product, not water.
Pack and container: Container material, volume, neck size and cap type, or pouch film, width and seal type, for every size the machine must change between; change parts are priced per size.
Speed and accuracy: Packs per minute at your fill size, today and in two years, and the fill tolerance in grams or millilitres. Rated speed with water is not the speed with your product.
Level of automation: Semi-automatic, where an operator places each pack, or fully automatic with conveyor, capping and labelling. It sets price, floor space and staffing.
Contact parts: Stainless steel 304 suits most food; 316 suits salty or acidic products and many pharma lines. Ask for material certificates and parts that strip down for washing.
Power and air: Three phase or single phase, 50 Hz, and voltage swings: servo and PLC machines need stable power and a safe restart after load shedding. Air in litres per minute at stated pressure, dried and filtered to an ISO 8573-1 class, since humid air carries water into valves.
Room and access: Floor space, ceiling height and floor loading. A machine for an upper floor must fit the stairs, doors or goods lift on its way in.

Standards, acceptance tests and papers for packaging machines

CE declaration: A declaration of conformity under the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, covering guarding and emergency stops. Where the maker issues one, ask for it.
EN 415 series: European safety standards for packaging machines, covering guards, interlocks and emergency stops. Ask which part the machine follows.
IEC 60204-1: Electrical equipment of machines: panel wiring, protective earthing and emergency stop circuits. Check the panel and the earth connection at installation.
Net quantity: BSTI's weights and measures role covers the quantity declared on packs; OIML R 87 is the international reference for tolerances. Put fill accuracy in writing.
FAT and SAT records: A factory acceptance test with your samples before shipment and a site test after installation, recording speed, fill accuracy, seals and rejects. Tie the final payment to it.

What moves the price of a packaging machine

Automation and output: each step from semi-automatic to a full line adds cost; more heads or lanes raise output and price.
Dosing and controls: servo drives, PLCs and touch screens cost more than pneumatic or mechanical designs, but hold fill weight closer.
Contact material: 316 stainless steel and pharma-grade finishes cost more than 304.
Origin and support: European, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese or Indian make, and the parts stock held in Bangladesh.
Running cost: heater and tunnel power, film and label waste, change parts, spares and local service response.

Semi-automatic fillers, sealers and carton sealers are often in stock locally and deliver within one to three weeks. Questions buyers ask

Can I see the machine run with my product before paying in full?

Yes, and you should. For stock machines the seller runs a trial at its premises with your containers and product; for machines built abroad, the maker tests with your samples and shares video and results before shipment. Approve it in writing, repeat it on site and link part of the payment to it.

Should I start with a semi-automatic or an automatic machine?

If you pack small batches or change products often, start semi-automatic: lower cost, simple to run, easy to move. Move to automatic when output is steady enough to keep a line busy and giveaway and handling costs matter. We price both on cost per pack.

Does humidity affect powder filling?

Yes. Many powders take up moisture in monsoon air, then bridge in the hopper and fill unevenly. Fill in a dehumidified room, keep the hopper covered, ask for an agitator and an auger sized to your powder, and check fill weights through the day.

What fill accuracy should we ask for?

A tolerance in grams or millilitres at your fill size, measured on your product at full speed. At the site test, weigh a run of consecutive packs and check both the average and the spread. The law holds you to the net quantity declared on the label.

What spare parts should I buy with the machine?

The seller's recommended list for the first year: heating elements, sealing jaws, seals and O-rings, belts, sensors, fuses and change parts for each pack size. Bought with the machine they usually cost less than rush orders, and stop a breakdown halting production for weeks.

How soon will I hear back about packaging machines?
