Buying coconut oil in Bangladesh
Coconut oil comes from the kernel of the coconut. RBD oil, meaning refined, bleached and deodorised, is usually made from copra, the dried kernel; virgin oil is a separate grade from fresh kernel that is never chemically refined. About half its fatty acids are lauric acid, and it melts at about 24 °C, so it sets solid in a cool store.
A coconut oil exporter in Bangladesh has to keep the grades apart, because each carries its own limits. Roptan sources from verified sellers, checks that the grade on the label matches the lot's test results, and confirms which BSTI standard applies to the use you state.
