Buying camping accessories in Bangladesh

Camping accessories are the parts that make a tent stand and last: pegs, poles, guy ropes, groundsheets and footprints, carry bags, sacks and repair kits. Brands pack them in the tent bag and sell them as spares, and agencies write them into tent specifications down to the peg count and rope strength.

A tent with the wrong pegs or a pole section that does not fit cannot be pitched. Roptan writes the material, size and count of each part into the order, finds a camping accessories manufacturer in Bangladesh among its verified makers, and checks fit, strength, finish and counts before packing.

Kinds of camping accessory

Tent pegs

Wire skewers, light and heavy gauge pressed-metal pegs, delta pegs that lie level and cannot turn, and plastic pegs for soft soil. Choose by ground, tent size, wind load and the weight a camper carries.

Tent poles

Rigid metal poles for heavy frame tents, or flexible fibreglass or alloy poles in sections joined by an internal elastic cord. Choose aluminium alloy for strength and durability, fibreglass for lower cost.

Footprints and groundsheets

A flat sheet under the tent floor, slightly smaller than it, which protects the floor on rough ground and is cheaper to replace. Choose one cut for each tent model.

Guy ropes and runners

UV-treated rope with hardwood or metal runners that set the tension. Choose rope by diameter and tensile strength, matched to the tent's guy points.

Bags, sacks and repair kits

Tent carry bags, stuff and compression sacks, and kits with needles, thread and a pole repair sleeve. Choose them to complete a retail set or as spares.

How to brief a camping accessories manufacturer in Bangladesh

Pegs
Material, length, profile and finish, such as galvanised steel, with the count per tent and spares by ground type. Angled pegs, with the rope at ground level, hold more firmly than upright ones.
Poles
Material, outer diameter, wall thickness, section length, joint type, elastic cord and end fittings. Colour-code sections or link them by cord so users know which connect.
Guy ropes
Diameter in mm, tensile strength in N, UV treatment, colour and runner type. One agency tender specification sets 6 to 8 mm and at least 3,000 N for its main guys.
Footprints
Fabric, coating and finished size for each tent model, slightly smaller than the floor it protects, with a bag to match.
Fittings
Rings and snap hooks rustproof galvanised, rings closed by welding, and eyelets rustproof, so they survive damp storage and use.
Packing
Poles packed so they cannot damage or stain other items, and pegs in a separate bag with a closure, packed so their points cannot pierce it.

Rules and tests for camping accessories

Canada: CAN/CGSB-182.1-2020
Under Tents Regulations SOR/2024-217, footprints, flies, side panels, curtains and gear lofts must meet it, whether sold with the tent or separately. Packaging bags, ropes, zips, thread and webbing are excluded.
Hardware tests in agency tenders
One agency tent specification pulls its six main guy points to 3,000 N, UV-ages them to ISO 4892-2, pulls zips to 700 N and gives T pegs 25 hammer blows. Agency requirements, not retail norms.
Insect mesh tests
Where mesh is supplied as a spare, the same specification uses bursting strength to ISO 13938 and shrinkage to ISO 5077. State hole density and strength in your own order.

What moves the price of camping accessories

  • Pole material: aluminium alloy costs more than fibreglass, and wall thickness and joints add to it.
  • Pegs: steel, aluminium or plastic, the gauge, and galvanising or other finish.
  • Rope: diameter, tensile strength and UV treatment, set by the load on each guy point.
  • Fittings: rustproof galvanised rings, hooks and eyelets.
  • Kit contents and packing: the number of spares per set, printed bags and individual packs.

Lead times and delivery

Accessories ordered with tents follow the tent's dates. Sold alone, time depends on the material and finish: custom pole lengths and alloys, galvanising, printed bags and new footprint patterns add time, while standard pegs and ropes are quicker. Roptan confirms the dates and the minimum per item in the quote.

Inside Bangladesh, Roptan delivers accessories packed by set or in bulk cartons to your store, warehouse or the tent maker's line, with a packing list per carton, any test reports ordered and a VAT invoice (Mushak 6.3).

Buying camping accessories for export

Quotes for export are FOB Chattogram (Chittagong). Classification follows the material: textile camping goods such as footprints usually fall under heading 6306, while metal, plastic and fibreglass parts go under their own material headings, so your customs broker confirms each line. Papers include the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and any flame reports for Canada.

What we check for this order

  • Poles assembledWe have sample poles assembled to check every section fits, the cord holds tension, and the spare sections are packed.
  • Peg strength and finishSample pegs driven or hammered to the test you set, and galvanising checked for bare or rusty spots.
  • Fittings rustproofRings, hooks and eyelets checked for rust, and rings for closed welds, before parts are bagged.
  • Counts per setPegs, ropes, runners and spares counted against your kit list, with pegs bagged so they cannot pierce.

Questions buyers ask

Do footprints sold on their own need a flame test for Canada?

Yes. Canada's Tents Regulations count footprints, flies, side panels and gear lofts as components and accessories, sold with a tent or separately, so their fabric must meet CAN/CGSB-182.1-2020. Ropes, zips, webbing and bags for tents, poles or pegs are excluded, and the test covers fabric, not metal parts.

Which pegs suit which ground?

Choose by ground, tent size, wind and the weight carried. Plastic pegs suit soft soil; delta pegs lie level and cannot turn; pressed-metal pegs come in light and heavy gauges. Pack spares for each ground type you sell into.

Fibreglass or aluminium replacement poles?

Fibreglass is cheaper and flexible; low-cost fibreglass tubes are under about 1 cm across. Aluminium alloy is stronger and more durable, and costs more. Either way, match diameter, section length and joints to the tent, or the pole will not fit its sleeves or clips.

Can you match accessories to a tent we already sell?

Yes. Send a sample tent or drawings with pole diameters and section lengths, peg count and the floor size. We source parts to that specification and check a pitched set before bulk.

How soon will I hear back about tents and camping gear?

Within 48 hours of a complete requirement, with a price and a delivery date. A requirement is complete when it has the quantity, where it is needed and by when.
