Buying sports and safety nets in Bangladesh

These are two families of net. Sports nets hang on goals, courts and practice areas and form play structures. Safety nets protect people working at height by limiting a fall and absorbing its energy, while debris nets catch falling objects. Contractors, clubs, schools and park builders in Dhaka, Chattogram and beyond buy both, and most uses have their own standard.

Both families are usually made from polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester or nylon, but the papers differ by use. Kinds of sports and safety net

Football goal nets

Nets for full-size and smaller goals under EN 748, which covers nets among its clauses. Choose to the goal size and type you already have.

Court nets

Tennis, badminton and volleyball nets cut to the height and width each sport's rules set. Choose by the rule set you play to and quote it, since it fixes mesh, cord and tape.

Barrier nets

Play nets

Fall-arrest safety nets

Nets that catch a falling person on construction and assembly work, made from polypropylene or polyamide and tested as systems under EN 1263-1. Choose the system and size from the site design.

Debris netting

Usually HDPE netting on scaffolding that catches falling objects, hung horizontally or vertically. Choose it against falling objects; it is not a person-fall net.

What to send a sports and safety net manufacturer in Bangladesh

Use first: Fall-arrest, debris, play, goal, court or barrier. The use decides the standard, the polymer and the papers, so state it before mesh or size.

What moves the price of sports and safety nets

Area: these nets are usually sold by the square metre, so size sets much of the cost.
Cord and mesh: thicker cord and smaller mesh put more polymer into each square metre.
Additives: UV stabiliser and fire retardant, where you ask for them.
Papers: a test report on your lot, such as an EN 1263-1 report for fall-arrest nets.
Fit-out: border ropes, fixings, posts and installation through the seller.

Questions buyers ask

Is debris netting the same as a safety net?

No. Debris netting, usually HDPE, is hung on scaffolding to catch falling objects. A fall-arrest safety net catches people, is made from polypropylene or polyamide and is tested as a system. Tell us which hazard you face; where workers could fall, order a fall-arrest net with its test report.

What size is a full-size football goal net?

It fits a 7.32 by 2.44 m goal, the larger of the two sizes in EN 748; the smaller is 5 by 2 m. The standard covers four goal types, so give the type with the size.

Can you quote to OSHA instead of EN 1263?

If your project follows a US specification, yes. OSHA 29 CFR 1926.105 is a US rule: it caps mesh at 6 by 6 inches, wants a label of proof test on new nets and sets edge-rope strength. Name it in the order, and we check the seller's certificate against it.

Which net material copes with the sun?

Of undyed netting, FAO rates polyester and polypropylene good for sun resistance, polyethylene medium and nylon poor, and dyeing or UV additives raise it. For nets that stay outdoors, name the polymer and UV treatment in the order, and ask for a test behind any lifespan claim.

How soon will I hear back about fishing nets?
